Guess Who's Coming To Dinner?

Albus Dumbledore.

According to a recent article in the Guardian, J.K. Rowling said the longtime Hogwarts headmaster is the character from her books that she'd most like to have dinner with. I can certainly understand that. Who wouldn't enjoy a nice feast with Dumbledore accompanied by a glass of oak-matured mead?

Wizards Wireless asked the opposite question in 2007: which character would you be least interested in dining with? My readers were interested in avoiding a companion that might turn them into entrees: Aragog finished in the clear lead.

How about you? Which Harry Potter character would you like to dine with? (Personally, I'd skip all the fictional characters in favor of a meal with the author herself).

  1. Sirius Black. Loved that guy.
But Fred and George would be tons of fun. :)

  2. I agree about Rowling, but if I had to take a fictional character, I'd have dinner with Hermione. I think we'd hit it off and talk a lot.

  3. English Teacher- I'd love a dinner with Fred and George. Maybe in their flat above Weasley's Wizard's Wheezes and they could show off some product samples.

Adrienne- I think you and Hermione would get along great. =)

Thinking about it, Dumbledore would probably be my choice, too. Just think about how much he knows.

  4. Hurray! Welcome back!
Not even sure who to pick, so I'll take the easy way out and just ask that somebody save me a seat at the Gryffindor table.

  5. Luna Lovegood. I think she and I would be BFFs for sure. If it were a romantic dinner, I'd say Professor Lupin... LOL This is fun!

  6. Wow, tough choice. I'd say a tie between Hagrid and Neville. They both had hearts of gold.

  7. I'm surprising myself by thinking of Arthur Weasley first. He'd probably be willing to answer all of my questions about the wizarding world if I answered his about the Muggle world. I have a feeling we could talk for hours!
